These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of Passy, the visitor access management service available at passy.ng and its subdomains (the "Service"). By registering an estate, joining as a resident, or using the gate interface, you agree to these Terms.
Passy lets registered estates manage visitor access: residents generate time-limited visitor codes, estate security verifies those codes at the gate, and estate administrators manage residents, units, and visit records. Passy is a software tool; it does not provide physical security services and does not replace the judgment of estate security personnel.
Estate administrators are responsible for the accuracy of their estate's information, for approving or rejecting resident registrations, and for keeping the estate code and gate PIN confidential within their estate. Residents are responsible for the codes they generate and for sharing them only with their intended visitors. You must provide accurate information when registering and keep your password secure. You are responsible for all activity under your account.
You agree not to: use the Service to facilitate unlawful entry or any illegal activity; attempt to access another estate's data; probe, disrupt, or overload the Service; share gate PINs or estate codes outside your estate; or misrepresent your identity or unit. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
Decisions about who is admitted into an estate are made by the estate and its security personnel. A verified code is information to support that decision, not an instruction from Passy. The estate remains responsible for its own admission policies and the conduct of its staff and residents.
We work to keep the Service available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted operation. Estates should maintain a fallback admission procedure for periods when the Service or their internet connection is unavailable.
The Service is currently offered in early access. Where fees apply, they will be communicated to the estate administrator before billing begins. Continued use after pricing is introduced constitutes acceptance of the applicable fees.
Our handling of personal data is described in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms. Estate administrators act as the controllers of their estate's resident and visitor records; Passy processes that data to provide the Service.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Passy is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for losses arising from admission decisions made by estates, unauthorized sharing of codes or PINs by users, or events outside our reasonable control. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the fees paid by the estate for the Service in the three months preceding the claim.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated to estate administrators by email or in the dashboard. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Lagos State.
